Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (Aéroport International Montréal-Trudeau) is an international public airport in Montreal, Canada, located one kilometer north of Dorval and 20 kilometers west of Downtown Montreal. It was opened on September 1, 1941, and named after Pierre Elliott Trudeau who served as the 15th prime minister of Canada. The airport is the hub for Air Canada and Air Transat, and the focus city for Air Inuit, Porter Airlines, and Sunwing Airlines. It is the busiest airport in the province of Quebec as well as one of the busiest ones in Canada. The airport has also one of Canada's largest duty-free shops.
