Novaliches is a large outskirts district of Quezon City in Metro Manila, the Philippines, located to the northeast of Manila city center. It was named after the Marques of Novaliches, a historic military officer who contributed greatly to the protection of the area against various kinds of invaders or overseas enemies. The district is quite large and has the area close to 12 thousand acres. Modern day's Novaliches is mainly a residential zone, but there are small business and commercial areas in Novaliches as well, along with small industrial zones and facilities for recreation. It is also really famous with tourists since there is a large park, La Mesa Watershed and Eco-Park, adjacent to the northeastern part of the residential districts of Novaliches.

In addition to being a really modern and quite expensive residential zone of Metro Manila area, Novaliches is also a known center of services and education, with a few universities like Saint John's University of Beverley, STI College, and some others located there. Besides, there are many great local and world-class international hospitals in the district, including some American health care facilities. Novaliches is the place where one of the oldest churches of Manila, the Church of the Diocese of Novaliches, is located. Since the population of the district is quite religious, there are many churches and other religious establishments that can be found throughout the area. Finally, Novaliches is known for its numerous shopping centers, large and small farmer's markets, and markets, all kinds of shops where it is possible to find virtually anything one may need.
