Madeira Beach, nicknamed Mad Beach, is a Gulf Coast barrier island and a small city located in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. It is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Boca Ciega Bay to the northeast, and St. Petersburg to the east. The city has a total area of 3.19 sq mi (8.27 km2). Tourist attractions in the city include John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, Archibald Beach Park (The Hammocks), Madeira Beach Access, R.O.C. Park, as well as a lot of hotels, cafes, restaurants, shops, bars, and watersports outfitters. Madeira Beach is connected by Johns Pass Bridge to Treasure Island. The city is also located about 25 miles west of Tampa International Airport in Tampa, Florida.
