House of the Black Heads (Melngalvju nams) is one of the main historic sites of Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is located in the old town and was originally built in the 14th century in the Gothic style and officially opened on 9 December 1999. The building was severely damaged during World War II, and at the end of the 20th century, the building was restored. Today, it is used as an event venue and museum. It is famous for its presidential silver collection and medieval cellars. The museum is close to other points of interest such as the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, the Latvian Riflemen Monument, Roland's Statue, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, etc.
