Eco Park is a large recreation area and an amusement park located on the Major Arterial Road, New Town, Kolkata. Operated by West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation, it is the biggest park with an area of 480 acres, a playground, a gaming zone, a lake, two parking lots, and several gardens. It was founded by Mamata Banerjee, opened to the public on 29 December 2012. Activities in the park include paddle boating, kayaking, water zorbing, shikara riding, rowing, duo cycling, bird watching, speed boat, and archery. Eco Park also hosted special events such as the Vokatta Kite Festival in 2013 and 2014. Attractions in and around the park are Adda Zone (আড্ডা জোন), Herbal Garden (হার্বাল উদ্যান), Butterfly Garden, Bamboo Gardens (বাঁশ বাগান), Mask Garden (মাস্ক গার্ডেন), Heliconia Garden (হেলিকোনিয়া গার্ডেন), Tea Garden (চা বাগান), Rose Garden (রোজ গার্ডেন), Pencha More (পেঁচা মোর), Mother's Wax Museum, Japanese Forest, etc.
