Covington is a city in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States, located at the intersection of the Ohio River and Licking River. It is the largest city in Northern Kentucky as well as one of the most populous cities in the state. The city was founded in 1815 and named for Leonard Wailes Covington. Situated in the neighborhood of Cincinnati, Covington is home to many historical landmarks and points of interest, including Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, Saint Augustine Catholic Church, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Railway Museum of Greater Cincinnati, Devou Park, Behringer-Crawford Museum, Randolph Park, Historic Riverside District, and John A.
