Art Gallery of Ontario, Musée des beaux-arts de l'Ontario, is a popular art museum in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated at 317 Dundas Street West. It houses a collection of over 90,000 works of art, including European masterworks as well as numerous works from African, Canadian, and Inuit artists. The gallery also hosts temporary and traveling exhibitions and operates an artist-in-residence program. It is one of the largest art museums in North America. The museum was founded as the Art Museum of Toronto in 1900 and took its current name in 1966. The museum consists of two parts: the main building and the Grange. You can find a library, a cafe, a bistro, and a gift shop in the museum.
