Starring Colin Farrell as the Penguin, along with Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Berto Colon, Myles Humphus, and Alex Anagnostidis, the series follows the rise to power of the Penguin in Gotham City's crime world. It consists of 8 episodes and was released by Max on September 19, 2024. It won "Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television" (Colin Farrell) at the 2025 Golden Globes. The Penguin was shot in New York, United States. Filming locations included New York City, Brooklyn, and Bronx. La Selva Mansion in Upper Brookville was used for the scenes of Falcone Mansion in the series. Other locations used in The Penguin are the Church of the Intercession, Casa Dani Restaurant, Hawksmoor NYC, and Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
