The Decameron is an American period drama historical comedy television series created and written by Kathleen Jordan, directed by Michael Uppendahl, and inspired by The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio. Starring Amar Chadha-Patel, Leila Farzad, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Lou Gala, Karan Gill, Tony Hale, Zosia Mamet, Tanya Reynolds, Douggie McMeekin, and Jessica Plummer, the series was digitally released by Netflix on July 25, 2024. It consists of eight episodes. The Decameron was shot at the Cinecittà Studios in Rome, Italy. Filming also took place in the province of Viterbo in the Lazio region of the county.
