Starring Daniel Auteuil, Guillaume Canet, Doria Tillier, Fanny Ardant, Pierre Arditi, Denis Podalydès and Michaël Cohen, the film premiered out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2019. It also won the "Directors to Watch" award at the 2020 Palm Springs International Film Festival. La Belle Époque was shot in Paris, and Hauts-de-Seine, France. Filming also took place at Transpastudio in Seine-Saint-Denis.
