The film was released on October 30, 1998, in the United States, distributed by New Line Cinema. It tells the story of two brothers who become involved in a white supremacist/neo-Nazi movement. Edward Norton received an Oscar nomination for "Best Actor in a Leading Role". And the film is regarded as one of the greatest films of all time. Filming took place in Los Angeles, California.
