Salar de Uyuni is a famous landmark of Bolivia, situated in the western part of the country, in the province of Potosi, near the town of Uyuni. It is a huge salt desert considered to be the largest in the world, with the area close to 4 thousand square miles.The flat is covered by huge amount of salt deposits which are used for providing local people with salt and related minerals. During the season of rains a lot of water is collected on the flat making it look like the world largest mirror. The eco system of the area is also interesting and there is a large number of flamingos living there.
