Tucson International Airport is a large international airport that has been used for long for military purposes and is now used for passenger and cargo flights. It is located 8 miles south of downtown Tucson, southern Arizona. It is the second busiest airport in the state. The airport was established in 1919. Since the early 1950s, it started developing as a military-civil airport which is now extensively used and connects Tucson with several cities and countries. There are three runways and three areas for helicopter landing in the airport. Other facilities include all the modern amenities and services of an international airport.
