Tropicana Field, formerly known as Florida Suncoast Dome (1990–1993) and ThunderDome (1993–1996), is a stadium with a baseball museum (Ted Williams Museum & Hitters Hall of Fame), located at 1 Tropicana Dr., St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. Also known as The Trop, the stadium was opened on March 3, 1990, renovated in 2014. It has been the home field of Tampa Bay Rays (MLB) since 1998. It was also home to Tampa Bay Storm (AFL), Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL), St. Petersburg Bowl (NCAA), and WWE ThunderDome. It hosts baseball, basketball, and football games, motorsports, professional wrestling shows, and concerts. The stadium hosted ArenaBowl IX, the 1998 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, as well as the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on February 7–9, 1992. Tropicana Field is located about 1 mile away from Downtown St. Petersburg.
