Témiscaming is a small city in the western part of the province of Quebec, eastern Canada. It was established near plenty of small rivers and lakes, near the river of Ottawa and Lake Kipawa. The settlement was established by some local populations and initially named "Long Sault", but later on renamed after one of the local picturesque lakes, Lake Témiscaming. The town is notorious as it became the epicenter of a serious earthquake taking place in 1932. Today, Témiscaming is a home to about 25 hundred people. They are mainly engaged in farming, small commercial and manufacturing businesses. The city is also a center of sports, with some excellent facilities for ice hockey and other sports.
