Nekoosa is a small town situated in the very central part of Wisconsin, USA. The town was founded about 130 years ago and its interesting name takes source from a local Ho-Chunk expression meaning "The Running Water". Since the day of its establishment, the population of the town has been increasing slowly, and today Nekoosa is a home to about 25 hundred people which is about 700 families and about a 1000 households. The town is known for its small paper producing facility which is almost as old as the town is. The town is a nice pace to spend a day or two, to relax and enjoy the quiet lifestyle of its community.
