Other big cities of the state include Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Flint, Battle Creek, and a few others. The state is famous for its numerous natural landmarks, especially national parks and picturesque forests which can be found mainly in the northern areas of Michigan. Those include Huron-Manistee National Forests, Atlanta State Forest Area, Gaylord State Forest Area, Sault Ste. Marie State Forest Area, Newberry State Forest Area, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Hiawatha National Forest, Gwinn State Forest Area, Baraga State Forest Area, and others.
