Kaziranga National Park (কাজিরাঙ্গা ন্যাশানাল পার্ক) is a national park in Golaghat and Nagaon districts, India, in the state of Assam. It was originally founded on 1 June 1905 and became a national park in 1974. The park was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. It is a Tiger Reserve and home to various animals like Indian rhinoceroses, Indian elephants, Indian muntjac, eastern swamp deer, Indian leopard, Indian gray mongoose, chital deer, wild water buffalo, and Bengal tigers. Kaziranga National Park is also considered an Important Bird Area, home to a variety of birds, including Indian roller, spot-billed pelican, Dalmatian pelican, white-tailed eagle, and many more.
