A small community of Fontenay-sous-Bois, situated in the neighborhood of the city of Paris in the region of the Île-de-France, in the central part of the country. The name of the town comes from the expression meaning 'the springs', and the community was established in the early Medieval times, right near a series of small natural springs. It became a part of Paris municipal area about 90 years ago and now it can be found about 6 miles east of the city center.
