Established in the end of the 19th century, the community is located over 57 hundred feet over the sea level. Initially the town was named Nat Whittum, after a settler who was murdered in the area. Currently there are about three dozens of people living in the village. There is a famous place Steeple Canyon can be found near the village. Amazing nature attracts quite a good number of visitors and travelers.
