Bayfront Park is a small green area located in Downtown Miami, right near Bayfront Marketplace and Biscayne Bay, which are among the central landmarks of the city. The park can be found on the coastal line of Miami City, on the southern edge of the state of Miami. With its total area of approximately 13 hectares, Bayfront Park is a nice and popular recreation facility, both with the residents of the neighboring district and with tourists. However, historically the park is notorious as the location where Anton Cermak, at-the-time mayor of the city of Chicago, was assassinated by his foes during his vacation time in Miami. This sad event took place in 1933.

The park was designed and opened about 90 years ago, and it is famous for its historic Klipsch Amphitheatre, with the capacity estimated to be close to ten thousand people. The amphitheater often becomes a venue for small concerts and various cultural events.
