It is the sequel to 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Starring Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, Terry Notary, Michael Adamthwaite, and Ty Olsson, the film premiered on July 10, 2017 at SVA Theatre, and was released on July 14, 2017 in the United States. It grossed $490.7 million worldwide against a $150–190 million budget and was nominated for an Oscar. War for the Planet of the Apes was shot in British Columbia, Canada. Filming took place at Mammoth Studios in Burnaby. Filming locations included Death Valley National Park in California.
