Starring Jean-Pierre Léaud, Albert Rémy, Claire Maurier, Guy Decomble, and Georges Flamant, it is one of the most important films of the French New Wave. It was released on 4 May 1959 in France. The film follows the story of Antoine Doinel who is a young boy living in 1950s Paris. It won 2 awards at Cannes Film Festival, as well as nominations for an Oscar and Palme d'Or.
