Starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Miranda Richardson, Michael Gambon, Casper Van Dien, and Jeffrey Jones, the film was released on November 19, 1999, in the United States, earned $207 million worldwide, won the 2000 Academy Awards for "Best Art Direction-Set Decoration". Sleepy Hollow was shot at Leavesden Studios and Shepperton Studios in England. Hatfield House, Middle Temple, and Somerset House were also among the filming locations.
