Nosferatu Locations
Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauen) is a silent fantasy horror movie with German intertitles directed by F. W. Murnau, written by Henrik Galeen. Starring Max Schreck, Alexander Granach, Gustav von Wangenheim, Greta Schröder, and John Gottowt, the film was released by Film Arts Guild on 4 March 1922 in Germany, and on 3 June 1929 in the United States. Nosferatu was shot on location in Slovakia and Germany. Salzspeicher in Lübeck was used as Graf Orlok's house in Wisborg. Filming also took place at the Johannisthal Studios in Berlin. Filming locations included The St.-Aegidien-Kirche (or Aegidienkirche), Orava Castle (Oravský hrad), Starý Hrad Castle, and Vrátna Valley.
