Starring Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Li Gong, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Nelson Lee, and Jun Yu, the film is also a remake of Disney's 1998 animated film of the same title. It follows the epic journey of a Chinese maiden who disguises herself as a man to save her father. It was released on 4 September 2020 in the United States. Mulan was shot in Auckland, New Zealand, and Xinjiang, China. Filming took place at Kumeu Film Studios in Auckland.
