Starring Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear, Gayle Rankin, Paapa Essiedu, and Sarah Twomey, the film follows the story of a young widowed woman who goes on a solo vacation to a small village following the suicide of her ex-husband. The village scenes were shot in Withington, Gloucestershire, England, about 8 miles southeast of Cheltenham. Harper and James's flat in the city was located in St Katherine's Docks in London.
