It premiered at Grand Rex on December 5, 2017, was released on December 20, 2017, in the US, and grossed $962.5 million worldwide against a $90–150 million budget. It also won a few awards like Golden Trailer Awards and Kids' Choice Awards. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was shot in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Atlanta, Georgia. Kualoa Ranch was used as a filming location. The exterior scenes of Alex's house took place at 1646 Friar Tuck Road NE in Atlanta.
