Starring Richard Gere, Joan Allen, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Jason Alexander, and Sarah Roemer, it follows very touching and true story of the dog named Hachikō. The film premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival on June 13, 2009, received good reviews. You can see the bronze statue of real Hachiko which was made in his honor outside of the Shibuya railroad station in Tokyo. Hachi: A Dog's Tale was mainly shot in Rhode Island, USA.
