The film tells the adventures of a man from Alabama with an IQ of 75. It was premiered on June 23, 1994, and the score was composed by Alan Silvestri. Forrest Gump was filmed in Savannah, Georgia; Flagstaff, Arizona; Monument Valley, Utah; Glacier National Park, Montana; and Orange, California. Filming locations also included University of Southern California, Lincoln Memorial, Ambassador Hotel, The Ebell of Los Angeles, Paramount Studios, and Marshall Point Lighthouse.
