Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is an American sci-fi comedy film directed by Pete Hewitt, written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Starring Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler, Joss Ackland, Pam Grier, George Carlin, Amy Stoch, and Jim Martin, the film is the second one of the Bill & Ted series, as well as a sequel to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in 1989. It was released on July 19, 1991, in the United States, grossed $38 million worldwide, won the 1992 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for "Best Supporting Actor" (William Sadler). Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey was shot in Santa Clarita and Los Angeles, California, USA. Filming locations included Donald C Tillman Water Reclamation Plant, Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park, and San Fernando Valley. Filming also took place at the Santa Clarita Studios.
