Starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, and Timothy Spall, the film premiered at Odeon Leicester Square on February 25, 2010, and was released on March 5, 2010, in the US. It grossed $1.025 billion worldwide and won 2 Academy Awards for Best Achievement in Costume Design and Best Achievement in Art Direction. The film became the second-highest-grossing film of the year. Alice in Wonderland was shot at The Culver Studios in Culver City, California. The ending scene took place at Charlestown Harbour in Cornwall. Antony, a historic Queen Anne estate, was used for the scenes of Ascot Manor in the film.
