Starring Min-hee Kim, Tae-ri Kim, Jung-woo Ha, and Jin-woong Cho, the film released in May 2016 at Cannes Film Festival, won BAFTA Film Award for "Best Film Not in the English Language", and many awards. Ah-ga-ssi (The Handmaiden) was filmed in Nagoya, Aichi and Rokka-en, Kuwana, Mie, Japan; Pyeongchang, Goheung, South Jeolla, Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts, South Korea.
