LA Memorial Coliseum, or The Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, was an arena with a basketball capacity of 16,161, located at Exposition Park, 3911 Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California, United States. It is a National and State Historic landmark. The arena also hosted concerts, ice hockey games, and boxing/wrestling events. Designed by Welton Becket, opened on July 4, 1959, closed on March 19, 2016, and demolished in September 2016, the arena was replaced with Banc of California Stadium. It was home to USC Trojans basketball (NCAA). LA Memorial Coliseum was used as a filming location in Rocky and Rocky II as a stand-in for the Spectrum in Philadelphia.
